"Leave domestic seed production to experienced experts."
I work as a cucumber and broccoli breeder in the Department of Vegetable and Ornamental Plants at the Batı Akdeniz Agricultural Research Institute in Antalya, part of TAGEM, where I also serve as head of department. I have worked on pepper, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower and bean projects, and I currently carry out breeding work, mainly on cucumber and also on broccoli and cauliflower, in projects funded by TAGEM and TÜBİTAK.
From the gene pool we developed, I registered the Gözen F1 cucumber variety on behalf of the Institute, and trials of many candidate varieties are under way. Through collaborative projects with industry partners, more than 120 breeding lines have been transferred to the seed sector so far, and hybrid varieties developed from them have been registered.

The Data Analytics Bootcamp I completed at Miuul (Python, SQL, Power BI, Excel) gave me a strong foundation in data analysis. Building on it with AI-powered automation skills, I aim to share my experience in R&D efficiency and workflow automation with domestic and international companies in the vegetable seed sector.
